Malladi Brothers
[CEX31]
Ravikumar and Sreeramprasad are very well known as the Malladi Brothers, two of today’s finest singers in the karnatic idiom. They are the principal shishyas of late great Neduneri Krishnamurthy with whom we have released the 3-cd album For Tradition Turn to Nedunuri
This was our first recorded concert during Margazhi 2019. We had only 20 minutes to arrange the recording so we missed the beginning but the rest is a beautiful concert of classical Karnatic by the old master composers with excellent accompanists Embar S, Jabbab and Alathur T. Rajaganesh on violin and kanjira. We are especially happy for the presence of legendary mridangam maestro Trichy Sankaran.
We are happy to present six full concerts from last year (actually one of them, a lovely Karnatic violin duet was recorded in Stockholmin 2016). These albums are all released on November 19, 2020:
CEX27 Seshampatti Sivalingam: Nagaswaram
CEX28 Mohi Bahauddin Dagar: Ahir Bhairav
CEX29 Sadanand Naimpalli: at Aamad Pratishthan
CEX30 Akkarai Sisters: at Narada Gana Sabha
CEX31 Malladi Brothers: at Mylapore Fine Arts
CEX32 Akkarai Sisters: at Royal College of Music, Stockholm Violin duet
