P.S. Devarajan
“Oh, how I miss him; my mridangam teacher since 1968.” – Sopandev

Great vidwat and bhava
Mridangam Vidwan P.S. Devarajan was a great karnatic musician who unfortunately passed away in 1987.
He was always bringing very great vidwat (knowledge) and bhava (feeling) in any musical (and non-musical for that matter) circumstances where he would appear, be it a classical concert, a religious gathering with bhajan singing or the teaching situation. Here is a Konnakol solo that he did in K. Shivakumar’s house in Chembur on april 4, 1968.
