Music from an inspired day in a great studio with three of the real heavyweights in swedish folk- and improvised music today. Says saxophone great Jonas Knutsson: “The notes are our brush strokes. They carry our thoughts, feelings and whatever wisdom we might possess. After many years of playing together we can meet within each others voices. Maybe that’s what is discernible in this recording, done in a day when we let go of the controls and just played music.” With Lena Willemark’s wonderful singing and Mats Öberg’s genius on keyboards the trio has created an album of traditional swedish music, original material and a surprising cover song. Freedom, intuition, communication plus power, humor and sensibility characterizes Willemark, Knutsson Öberg.
