“fascinating listeners and critics alike with their highly nuanced, creative and soulful performances”
We are so happy to release one album with Subhalakshmi and Sornalatha Akkarai’s eminent vocal music (you will find an album with their violin duet here) This one is recorded at Narada Gana Sabha, a venue that I have very strong memories of since the days of Swamy Haridhos. This also was the first December season that old friend R. Krishnaswamy was not there. The concert is wonderful, that Sornalatha was suffering from a slight cold doesn’t take anything away and the great accompanying artists sure help making it a wonderful evening. The digital world is very convenient for Karnatic music as it makes it possible to include full two-and-a-half-hour concerts in one album. Here are some photos from the concert:
Musicians
Subhalakshmi and Sornalatha Akkarai, vocal
B. Vittal Ranga, violin
Patri Satishkumar, mridangam
Dr. S. Karthick, ghatam

MARGAZHI 2019
The greatest music festival in the world, the legendary December Season in Chennai, Margazhi, where more than a thousand concerts are held during one month is not happening this year due to Covid 19. But last year, celebrated Swedish sound engineer Maurice Mogard visited India during the 2019 season with us and recorded some of todays greatest performers from North and South.
We are happy to present six full concerts from last year (actually one of them, a lovely Karnatic violin duet was recorded in Stockholmin 2016). These albums are all released on November 20, 2020:
